The Best & the Worst Brands of Essential Oils

Essential oils can be used in an oil diffuser to freshen up the air as well as for therapeutic purposes. I only used the oils in an oil diffuser since I am very cautious about what I apply to my body. So I can’t speak to how effective they are when used for therapeutic purposes. My evaluation is based on the longevity of the oils and whether or not the scents are pleasant.

6 Things That I Like About Radha Beauty’s Peppermint Oil

The peppermint essential oil has a rich peppermint scent. I love how it freshens up a room and how the scene travels throughout the house. I have used up to several drops in my air diffuser and the scent lingered for hours.

Note: I received the oil for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

The size of the bottle is really impressive since most essential oils I’ve purchased are usually the small mini bottles. This bottle is 4 oz as opposed to the 1/3 oz. Since this bottle is so large, it should last me a couple years before replacing. On average I use a couple drops every week or so in my diffuser.

A helpful hint that I have found with the peppermint oil is that when I feel a migraine coming on, if I drop some peppermint oil into the diffuser, scent somehow tends to ease my symptoms. I tend to rebound from the migraine sooner than I would normally. It has a tendency to very soothing for the headache.

Another helpful hint is if I drop a few drops of the oil in the diffuser when my allergies are acting up because it helps open up my sinuses. What a bonus, not only does it smell so fresh but it helps ease symptoms.

I have also used it when I’m cleaning. I’m not a big fan of the smell of vinegar so I include a couple drops of peppermint oil into the cleaning solution and not only is everything clean but now smells great too.

I really liked the blue bottle that the oil is packaged in, it’s different from other essential bottles that I have purchased. I’m used to the typical brown bottle, but this blue bottle looks pretty cool sitting on the counter.

The bottle does come with a screw top cap and an eyedropper that also screws onto the top. I keep the eyedropper on the bottle because it makes it very convenient to use the oil. The eyedropper does screw onto the bottle securely.

I plan on using the peppermint oil more during the holiday season. The scent reminds me of the holidays and helps get me into the festive mood.

Taking the size of the bottle and the quality of the oil into consideration it’s reasonably priced at around $12 on Amazon

What to Expect When Using the Plant Guru: Citrus Blast Essential Oil

The strong, refreshing scent of citrus fills the air when I put this oil into my oil diffuser. It smells just like a freshly picked orange. It awakens my senses just as if I was walking through an orange field. There is no chemical smell at all, it literally smells like oranges. It’s quite impressive how the oil not only smells just like oranges but it has a pleasant lingering scent as well. I love dropping about 1-2 drops into my diffuser in the morning and then my house will smell like oranges for the rest of the afternoon. When I really want the house to have a clean fresh scent for a longer period of time I’ll use 3-4 drops in my diffuser and the scent lasts longer.
