The Coconut Body Butter performs just like the Pumpkin Body Butter from Trader Joe’s. It has the same great consistency, absorbs beautifully into the skin and smells amazing. I will confess that if you’re not a fan of coconut then you probably won’t like the smell of this body butter. The coconut scent is dominant but not overly strong or obtrusive.
The body butter itself is creamy and does not leave the skin with an oily residue. It does have a gentle way of hydrating dry skin.
Both the scent and consistency are important but what is in this product that makes it so great? Is it tested on animals? The body butter is made with coconut oil, shea butter and vitamin E. Plus the product is cruelty-free which means it’s not tested on animals!
I really like the container that the body butter is packaged in because it’s a nice jar that I can easily reach the product at the very bottom. Since the jar is wider than it is deep, I can easily scrape the bottom of the jar without leaving any product behind. Which means there’s no concern about any of the great body butter going to waste. I absolutely love that I have a choice of unscrewing the top or flipping open the lid. I often use the flipping portion of the lid because it is super easy to close the product after having the body butter on my hands. There is no slipping just snap it shut, easily done with one hand or finger. The design is very convenient.
The 8oz jar of the Coconut Body Butter is exclusively available at Trader Joe’s for $5.49. It can be found in the beauty section of the store often seen near the vitamins.
